I find myself working (okay,
i'm goofing off right now) from the home office and just realized how quiet it is around here.
All the kiddos are still excited about school, even after one whole week. Kyle, likes to act like he is indifferent about the entire ordeal but then every day after school he likes to come running up and tell me all about it. Even the bad stuff. Just the other day he came running in and said "Dad, guess what!? I have good news and bad news. First the bad news - I failed my math pop quiz today! Now the good news, football is great; we got to hit people today. Oh, and I got a 100 on my Language Arts test." Well, at least he has his priorities.
Kyndra is in the process of learning how to hold drum sticks and we are in the process of figuring out how she can actually use them. I tell ya, if I had known what a pain this whole band thing was going to be I probably would have bribed her into doing something else. Oh well, she's happy and very enthusiastic.
Kyrstin & Mom continue to do what they do. I think Beth is pleased about her teaching position this year. One kid who gave her nightmares is not going to her school this year. That made for a happy Beth. She continues to work on scrapbook crops with the proceeds going to the Susan B.
Koman 3 Day walk. This year she is teaming up with
Rebecca Gibbons to tackle the 60 mile trek. We tried to convince Maria
Sievert to team up again this year but Maria just isn't a big fan of camping and port-a-potties. Can't say I blame her.
